ZOTE enables people in South Africa to realize their full potential and contribute to their communities by connecting volunteers with common interests and shared goals to create positive changes in schools, families and communities.
Ultimately, ZOTE wants to fill the serious gaps in education and community development while enabling all youth to participate more fully in South Africa’s future economy
ZOTE, South Africa began in 2007 with a passion to empower young people, their families, and communities, both socially and economically. ZOTE Volunteer Programs began in the Venda region in the communities of Manamani, Itsani and Dzwerani and continued its efforts in the township area of Orlando West, Soweto. ZOTE means all and everything, a fitting description of what ZOTE aims to achieve for your volunteer experience and South African communities.
The Founders of ZOTE, Projects are avid supporters of youth development, volunteerism, and economic development in South Africa. With over 12 years of experience in international programs & youth development in many different countries, Nyawira Charity Tshivhengwa identified the needs, and presented the idea of ZOTE Volunteer Programs to partners and local communities. Committed to impacting South Africa, Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, born and raised in Venda, cultivated long-standing relationships in the region to help develop ZOTE Volunteer programs. Together their efforts have helped over 300 youth in over six communities in South Africa. ZOTE Volunteer Program is South Africa’s premiere program because of the support and interest of volunteers and communities like you.
For over 7 years, ZOTE Volunteer Programs has continued to increase opportunities for young people in rural and township settings; while providing life changing experiences for volunteers in South Africa.
